Re: G2 -> CV
Hi Steven.
I am using a Doepfer MC24 for driving an analog modular system. I have no
experience using it for snappy envelopes, but I guess it is related to the
resolution of the midi/CV converter. And I have not noticed any problems
using the Doepfer machine.
The CV out can double as gate/trig out by biasing the G2 gare/trig out with
a - 64 value from the constant module, using a two channel mixer. It works
on the Doepfer interface, I guess it will do the same with the Kenton
interface.
I would recommend the Doepfer MC24 as a good piece of gear. It is has a
intuitive interface, and internal LFOs and envelopes that can expand the
number of modulation sources if you need. It can deliver Hz/volt (Metasonix
VCO, for exemple) and has never shown any signs of trouble. It van be used
for multi channel mono as well as polyphonic keyboard action.
