Re: AM 2.0 suggestion
[clears throat] Allow me to clarify.
I have been mapping several FilePlayers to the trigger-pads of my
Akai MPD24 MIDI/USB-controller, using it to trigger samples. The
MPD24 has a 4x4 grid of pads, which we know from the Akai samplers
etc. I was utilizing 16 FilePlayers, organizing them as a grid
similar to the pads of the controller, to make things as tidy as
possible. If I press the uppermost pad to the left, it will trigger
the corresponding FilePlayer. But then I decided I would free up one
of the rows of the MPD24, for other use. I would still, however, like
the area with the FilePlayers to resemble the physical MPD24-pads,
and one way to do this would be to replace the four FilePlayers in
question with four dummy contraptions, which would demand no cpu, and
which should not be able to cause any misunderstanings in my work
process. They should simply be visual, "dead" contraps which I could
give any name (and maybe also a desired shape and number of in/outs.)
Wouldn't that be nice?
