As for the Scanned Synthesis Matrix Generator, I'm a little confused as 
to what you are asking in regards to a score event.  The editor allows 
for opening, editing by GUI, and saving of matrices from and to files.  
I apologize if it wasn't apparent as to its function as I realize now 
that the documentation for this tool is not in the manual.  (I will be 
writing documentation for it shortly and will include in the next blue 
release which will be going out tonight).

I've found that Scanned Synthesis is a really rich sound generation 
method.  Besides sustained and percussive sounds, I had also once 
achieved a very overdriven electric guitar-like sound when using lots of 
glissandi with the instrument.  Completely wild!
