I have some experience with poscil vs oscil. I use them for envelopes
for notes. I create an ftable and move through it for the attack,
sustain, decay points. It allows me to have total control during the
note, for legato, crescendo, fade, movement, and the like. I had to
switch to poscil for very long envelopes (10's of seconds). But I
switched back for most work, as I only rarely have very long envelopes.
I don't think there is a pitch issue with oscil that requires poscil.
Are you sure about that?
