Oh, talking about Frippertronics, the live vinyl
bootleg 'Air Structure' will surely amaze any 70's Fripp fan. For some reason the
beginning of the concert is the last side of this double album, starting with
'Discreet Music' in the background. A funny bit is when a local french
announcer comes on-stage to ask the audience not to take pictures with
flash and to stop smoking "those cigarettes".. Hahahaha

my earlier musing upon how much 'classic' drift/ambient comes from ex-members
of Napalm Death...
...it is
worth dwelling, at least momentarily, on Robert Fripp's contribution (both in
its nascency and its growth) to the ambient genre... in light of the
fact that he wrought some of the most crushing, bulldozing music of the '70s
(and, arguably, '80s, '00s)...
