Apropos my earlier musing upon how much 'classic' drift/ambient comes from ex-members
of Napalm Death...
...it is worth dwelling, at least momentarily, on Robert Fripp's contribution (both in its
nascency and its growth) to the ambient genre... in light of the fact that he wrought some of
the most crushing, bulldozing music of the '70s (and, arguably, '80s, '00s)...
